Prayer For Peace In The World
Heavenly Father, we lift our world to you today.
We ask for your divine peace to fall upon every nation.
We pray for an end to wars and conflicts everywhere.
We ask for comfort for those who live in fear and violence.
Please shield the innocent who are caught in the crossfire.
We pray for leaders and those in positions of great authority.
Grant them wisdom to seek understanding over power.
Softens hearts that are hardened by hatred and prejudice.
Help us all to be makers of peace in our own communities.
Let compassion rise up where there is only anger.
Replace suspicion with a willingness to understand one another.
We pray for the day when weapons are put aside for good.
We long for the time when nations will not train for war anymore.
Help us to see every person as our neighbor, worthy of love.
Break down the barriers that divide us based on race or creed.
Unite us in our common humanity, as your children.
We pray for the organizations that work to bring relief and aid.
Protect the helpers and give them courage as they serve.
Provide for the needs of those who have lost their homes.
Heal the deep wounds that trauma and loss have created.
We ask for a spirit of reconciliation to sweep across the globe.
Where there is devastation, bring renewal and hope.
Where there is despair, plant seeds of joy.
Teach us to truly love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
Help us to be quick to listen and slow to judge.
May our actions, both small and large, contribute to your peace.
We trust in your promise of a future without tears or pain.
We cling to the hope of a restored and peaceful world.
We believe that your light can overcome any darkness.
